We received Yoda, originally a RSPCA rescue case, back
in Feb 97.
|
|
|
|
When we got him, he was just under 25cm long (Nose to
End of Tail) and only a few months old. He was not the most friendly of Green
Iguanas and was always biting due to the way he was handled and looked after
prior to us getting him.

|
|
Since then we have tamed him so that he hasn't bitten
me for over 4 years (thankfully) now. He is now over 4 feet long.

Yoda's road to recovery hasn't been easy
as he has suffered a broken leg, due to a growth spurt and calcium deficiency
not long after we got him and he has suffered the partial loss of his tail when
he was about 4 years old. Thankfully his leg is fully recovered and his tail
has grown back leaving just a small discoloured
length.

Yoda is living in our conservatory, in a custom made
vivarium, complete with webcam (hence this website) where he can take full
advantage of the natural day light and suns rays.
